There are different topics that can be used to express information about ourselves, let us create new friend ties, develop our English communication skills and enrich our knowledge with the constant practice. At end we can see the real sense of the English language and use it in a communicative way.

Here we are going to invite you to watch the different options that we have:

1. THE NAME

Here you have four options.

Ø  The first name

 Like Maria

The best question is: what´s your name?  

 And the answer is: my name is Maria or I am Maria or better it is Maria.

So, you have one alternative to question the name to someone and three different ways to answer if someone asks to you.

Example:

Hi, what´s your name?

Hello, my name is _____________

Ø  The last name

 Like Lopez or Gonzales

The best question is: what´s your last name?  

 And the answer is: my last name is Gonzales or it is Gonzales.

So, you have one alternative to question the last name to someone and two different ways to answer if someone asks to you.

Example:

Hi, what´s your last name?

Hello, my last name is _____________

Ø  The full name

 Like Maria Gonzales

The best question is: what´s your full name?  

 And the answer is: my full name is Maria Gonzales or it is Maria Gonzales

So, you have one alternative to question the full name to someone and two different ways to answer if someone asks to you.

 Like chiqui

The best question is: what´s your surname?  

 And the answer is: my surname is chiqui it is chiqui.

2. THE JOB

Like policeman

There are three questions:

-           What´s your job? 

-          What´s your profession? 

-          What do you do? 

 And the answers can be:

-           I am a policeman

So, you have three alternatives to question the profession to someone and one way to answer if someone asks to you.

Example:

What´s your profession?

I am a _____________

3. THE AGE

Like “Eighteen years old”

The best question is: how old are you?  

 And the answer is: I am eighteen years old or I am eighteen.

So, you have one alternative to question the age to someone and two different ways to answer if someone asks to you.

Example:

How old are you?  

 I am ________________

                                                                             

4. PLACE AND DATE OF BORN.

Like September 12^th 1985 in Bogota

The best questions are: Where did you born? And when did you born?

 And the answers are:  I was born in Bogota and I was born on September 12^th 1985.

So, you have one alternative to question the date and the place of born to someone and one way to answer if someone asks to you.

Example:

Where did you born?

I was born in ______________

When did you born?

I was born on ________________
